Pancake Hearts “Red Velvet”

A step-by-step recipe for heart-shaped pancakes.

Please your loved one with these pancakes for breakfast. To with ease the dough into a pan in the shape of hearts, place it in a bottle for sauce with a dispenser.

Photo Pancake-heart Time: 30 мин. Complexity: easy Servings: 10 – 15 Measured containers are used in recipes volume: 1 cup (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cups (st.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (Art.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 110 gr. curd cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 Art. sour cream
  • 3 tbsp. l whole milk
  • 2 tbsp. l powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. premium flour
  • 1 tbsp. l cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Fine salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 Art. granulated sugar
  • 1.25 Art. yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp. melted butter, plus for frying
  • 2 tsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cider vinegar
  • Maple Syrup and Roasted Shredded Pecans for filing

Recipe preparation:

  1. In medium capacity, beat the curd cheese until smooth, sour cream, milk and powdered sugar; set aside.
  2. Sift flour, cocoa powder, soda into a large bowl, baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt. In large capacity beat eggs with sugar to a pale yellow color. Stir in the yogurt, melted butter, food coloring, vanilla and apple cider vinegar. Egg add the mixture to flour and mix well. Place a piece of dough in a sauce bottle with a dispenser (with a hole of 0.6 cm).
  3. On a moderate fire, heat a flat grill pan or large frying pan with non-stick coating. Lightly grease hot pan with melted butter and squeeze a little on top dough, drawing the outlines of the heart or several hearts of the desired size. Fill each circuit with dough and smooth with a spatula to to the edges.
  4. Cook each pancake for about 3 minutes. until bubbles appear on surface. Gently flip and continue cooking 1-2 more min., until the bottom is seized, and the pancake is not fried. Repeat with the remaining test.
  5. Spice each pancake with a mixture of curd cheese and maple syrup, sprinkle with pecans.
