Lava pancakes “Rava Dosa” stuffed with sweet potatoes and cumin – a detailed recipe for cooking. Share with friends: Time: 30 minutes Difficulty: medium Servings: 6 Used in recipes volumetric containers: one cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1 tbsp. rice flour
- 1 tsp coarse salt
- 1 can (380 gr.) Coconut milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp. l palm sugar
- 1 tbsp. l grated fresh ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tbsp. ghee
- Sweet potato and cumin filling (see recipe below)
- 6 stalks of green onions (blanch green parts)
- Optional equipment: cast iron pan 10 cm diameter
Sweet Potato and Cumin Filling:
- 3 peeled and diced 2.5 cm. Sweet tuber картофеля
- 2 tbsp. l (30 gr.) Butter
- 1 thinly chopped white onion (approximately 450 gr.)
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 chopped green chili peppers
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tsp chopped fresh ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp mustard seed
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tbsp. l chopped fresh coriander
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp coarse salt

Recipe preparation:
- In a bowl, mix rice flour, salt and make in the center deepening. Mix coconut milk, egg, sugar, ginger and Sesame oil. Pour the egg mixture into the groove in the flour and mix until smooth. Before the start allow the dough to stand for 10 minutes.
- In a cast iron skillet, heat for 1/2 hour over moderate heat. l ghee. Put in a pan 30 gr. test. Cook until the edges are crispy. Flip Rava Dosa to fry the top side. Wrap a sweet stuffing in a pancake potatoes and cumin and dress with a feather of green onions. Repeat those same action with the remaining dough. Topped with sweet potato and cumin: Boil sweet potatoes in boiling salted water until ready, about 10 minutes Drain and transfer potatoes into a large bowl.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet. Saute the onions until golden color, about 5 minutes Mix cumin, chili peppers, garlic, ginger, ground coriander, mustard seeds, turmeric, mix and add to the onion. Cook for 1 min. Arrange Onion mix to sweet potatoes and mix well. Add chopped coriander and lemon juice. Salt.
