Dumpling chicken is a traditional home-made dish in the southern United States. Chicken boiled with vegetables in a small amount of broth, adding to it big dumplings. For dumplings, knead a simple dough from creamy butter, flour and milk. Fry onion, celery in a slow cooker, carrots and garlic, fill with broth and add pieces of chicken breasts, green peas and dough, laying it out with a large spoon to dumplings turned out to be free form. In pressure cooker mode, the dish will be ready in 3 minutes. Serve the chicken with dumplings in bowls, pouring to them a small amount of soup and sprinkled with fresh herbs. Ingredients for the recipe:
- 700 gr. skinless chicken breasts and bones, cut into pieces 2.5 cm each.
- 4 tbsp. l (60 gr.) Butter
- 1 tbsp. l baking powder
- 1 and 3/4 Art. + 2 tbsp. l flour
- 1 tbsp. whole milk at room temperature
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 medium chopped celery stalks
- 2 medium carrots, chopped
- 2 cloves, minced garlic
- 1 tbsp. l fresh thyme leaves
- 1 and 1/4 Art. chicken broth
- 0.5 tbsp. dry white wine
- 1 tbsp. frozen peas
- 1/4 Art. chopped parsley
- Special equipment: multicooker with a volume of 6-8 l

Recipe preparation:
- In a small frying pan on the stove or in the microwave melt 2 tbsp. l (30 gr.) Butter.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix baking powder, 1 and 3/4 tbsp. flour and a pinch of salt. Add milk and melted butter and mix well. Set the dough aside.
- Set the frying mode to the 6 liter multicooker. Add the remaining 2 tbsp. l (30 gr.) Butter and melt, stirring constantly so that it does not burn out for about 1 minute. Add onions and celery and fry, stirring occasionally, until transparent and softness, 3-4 minutes. Add carrots and garlic and fry until softness for 2-3 minutes. Add thyme and the remaining 2 tbsp. l flour and mix thoroughly, about 1 minute. Pour in chicken stock and wine and mix. Add chicken, peas, 1.5 tsp. salt and a little ground black pepper and turn off the slow cooker.
- Carefully dip into the pan pieces of dough with a volume of 2 tbsp. l at equal distance (you should have about 9 dumplings). Following manufacturer’s instructions, close the lid and prepare the slow cooker to work. Set the pressure cooker mode and cook at high pressure 3 minutes. After completing the pressure cooker cycle, follow manufacturer’s instructions for quick release of pressure and wait completing a quick reset cycle. Be careful not to get burned with the remaining steam, unlock and open the lid. Pour soup with dumplings in bowls and sprinkle with parsley.
