Cobbler with plums in a slow cooker

Homemade plum pie, thickened with starch.

Forget about the oven in your home and cook this summer cobbler in a slow cooker. Sprinkle with toasted almonds for extra crunch.

Ingredients for the recipe:

Plum filling

  • 1.3 kg cut into quarters
  • 1/4 Art. corn starch
  • 2/3 Art. Sahara
  • A pinch of fine salt

Shortbread dough

  • 1 and 1/4 Art. premium flour
  • 3 tbsp. l granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of fine salt
  • 4 tbsp. l (60 gr.) Butter, cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 Art. drinking cream with a fat content of 10%
  • Powdered Sugar and Vanilla Ice Cream

Recipe preparation:

  1. For the filling: mix corn starch and 1/4 tbsp. water in a slow cooker. Add plums, sugar and salt and mix until homogeneity.
  2. For the test: beat the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Add oil and mix the mixture by hand to form pea-sized flour. Add mixture milk and cream and mix with a wooden spoon to get wet dough.
  3. Put the dough on the plums. Close the slow cooker and cook on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the cobler begins to bubble, and the cookies will not be ready.
  4. Leave the cobler to cool for 20 minutes. Spread the cobler by servings, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and garnish with vanilla ice cream. The recipe for a Plum-peach cobler under a lid of test.
