Citrus ice cream

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 3 oranges (a hybrid of mandarin and pomelo), or 1 orange, or 2 lime
  • 1 tbsp. plus 2 tbsp. l powdered sugar
  • 2.5 tbsp. fat cream
  • Serving Wafers (optional)

Recipe preparation:

  1. If you use oranges, grate the zest of two of them. Squeeze the juice from 3 oranges and pour in a bowl with zest and sugar. If you took a sweet orange or lime, rub the zest of orange or 1 of the limes, squeeze them them juice and add it to sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves and add cream.
  2. Beat the whole mixture until soft peaks, then lay in a shallow sealed container (approximately 2 liters.) with a lid. Close and put in the freezer until the mixture has hardened (3 to 5 hours). Remove from the freezer in 15-20 minutes. before serving (or put on 30-40 minutes in the refrigerator). Serve in bowls, in waffle cups, with waffles, or whatever you like.
