Cale and spelled coleslaw

The ingredients for this salad sound a little outlandish, but what else more interesting that spelled and cabbage kale were once quite distributed in Russia. And now they are gaining again its popularity. What is so special about them? Spelled is relative of durum wheat (the very one from which durum wheat is prepared varieties of pasta), but at the same time it has a much lower content gluten than in other varieties of this cereal. It is very valuable. property, since a fairly large percentage of people observe gluten allergy. Cale earned an excellent reputation with adherents of healthy nutrition due to its low calorie content and an abundance of vitamins. Complexity: easy Servings: 4 The recipes use volumetric containers with a volume of: 1 glass (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (Art.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 0.5 tbsp. spelled
  • 1 bunch of kale Tuscan cale
  • 1.5 tbsp. vegetable broth
  • 1/4 Art. fresh pomegranate seeds
  • 2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, cut into thin slices
  • Juice 1 Lemon
  • 1/4 Art. aged goat cheese or parmesan, shavings

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine spelled with broth. Bring to a gentle boil and cook for 20-30 minutes. until ready then strain. Transfer to a salad bowl and season with salt and pepper; let cool.
  2. Remove and discard the stalks of cabbage, then cut the leaves thinly and place them in a bowl. Add pomegranate seeds, olive oil, garlic and lemon juice and mix thoroughly. Interfere there spelled and season the salad with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread between deep serving plates and decorate shavings of goat cheese. You can cook this salad with dried cherries and walnuts.
