  • Melted butter – 200 grams
  • Milk – 750 ml
  • Sugar – 200 grams
  • Flour – 120 grams
  • Eggs – 4 pieces
  • Vanilla Extract – 1 teaspoon

Recipe preparation:

  1. Let’s start with the filling. For its preparation in a large bowl mix sugar, eggs and flour.
  2. Pour milk and vanilla extract into the pan, bring to boil and let cool slightly. Drain 1/3 cup of milk from the bucket and add to flour mixture, mix well.
  3. Turn on the fire again, pour the mixture with warm milk into the pan and flour. Stir very quickly until the mixture thickens. It takes 3 – 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the stove and stir occasionally to no film was formed on the surface of the custard.
  4. To make a Bugats pie, you need a big a baking sheet measuring 20 by 30 cm, grease its bottom with oil and side.
  5. To prepare the base you will need 10-12 sheets of filo dough: 5-6 sheets – for the lower part of Bugats, 4-5 sheets – for the upper parts.
  6. Put sheets of dough on the bottom, carefully lubricating each melted butter. Pour custard, smooth surface with a spatula, on top – again Filo sheets with oil. Collapse at the edges. WITH using a sharp knife on the surface of the Bugats make arbitrary shallow cuts, pour oil.
  7. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 160 ° C about 45 minutes, before serving, allow to cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Serve with a cup of hot coffee or tea.
