Beans Braised with Chili Seasoning

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 500 gr. dry Kidney beans, Pinto or mixtures thereof (1 and 1/3 Art.)
  • 1 can (800 gr.) Canned fried mashed tomato
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 3 tbsp. l molasses
  • 1 tbsp. l ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp. l chili powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, fill the beans with 4 cm cold water. Soak at least 6 hours or overnight. Drain and rinse.
  2. In a multicooker with a volume of 5.5 liters, add beans, onions, tomatoes, garlic, molasses, cumin, chili powder, oregano and 3 cups of water. Cover and simmer until the beans are will become soft, about 8 hours. Open and season with salt and pepper.
