Triangle “Food of angels”

Tiffle is a traditional English puff dessert whose story started back in the 16th century. It is usually cooked in a transparent glassware so that alternating layers of soaked liquor or sherry biscuit, cream and berries. We offer step back a little from the classic recipe and give up use of alcohol so that this dessert can feast on and children. Trifle literally translates from English as “trifle” and, perhaps, now that the ingredients are practically not needed to cook, this name describes complexity as well as possible cooking this dish is a trifle! Share with friends: Photo Trifle Time: 1 hour. 40 min Complexity: easy Servings: 8 The recipes use measuring containers with a volume of: 1 glass (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (Art.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 500 gr. biscuit “Food of angels”
  • 5 tbsp. fresh strawberries, remove the stalk and cut into slices + a few whole berries, for decoration
  • 170 gr blueberries
  • 170 gr raspberries
  • 1/4 Art. granulated sugar
  • Juice of half an orange
  • 4 tbsp. low fat 2% Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 Art. honey

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a bowl with sugar and orange juice, add the berries. Leave for 15-20 minutes. at room temperature to make juice stand out.
  2. In the meantime, put yogurt and honey in another bowl. Shuffle spoon and smooth to make the mixture more malleable.
  3. With a notched knife, cut the biscuit into large pieces, and lay out about 1/3 to the bottom of the medium sized bowl for the triefl. Lay out a layer of berries in syrup and then, a layer of yogurt, set aside a few full tablespoons of yogurt to complete the dish. Continue to alternate layers until all the ingredients run out. Put in the center at the end a few tablespoons of yogurt and fresh whole strawberries.
  4. Cover with cling film and leave in the refrigerator until dessert does not harden, at least for 1 hour or can be left overnight.
