On wooden skewers alternately cubes of watermelon, cherry tomatoes and basil leaves are planted. Mandatory ingredient – balsamic syrup, cooked from balsamic vinegar with sugar. Recipe preparation:
- In a small saucepan, mix balsamic vinegar and sugar and heat over medium heat. Bring to a boil, periodically stirring until sugar dissolves. Turn off the fire and set aside side to cool.
- Place a cube of watermelon on the skewer, pulling it to the very tip. Then plant on a skewer a sheet of basil, then half a tomato. Next, plant another cube of watermelon, a sheet of basil and half tomato. Put the skewer on a dish so that it stands upright on base from the first cube of watermelon. Assemble the same way remaining skewers.
- Sprinkle skewers with ready-made balsamic syrup and olive oil. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Serve.
