Tartlets with caramelized onions and goat cheese

Festive appetizer in the form of tartlets with amazing filling from caramelized onions and goat cheese cream is prepared quite simple and it turns out very tasty. To facilitate your work, in as the basis of tartlets, take the purchased dough for the pie, and for the filling – purchased chopped onion. Circles are cut from the dough and are laid out in a form for mini-muffins. Then they fill up caramelized onion in butter and goat filling cheese. Miniature tartlets are baked very quickly.   • 2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. l (15 gr.) Butter
  • 1.5 tbsp. frozen chopped onions, thaw
  • 1 tbsp. l Sahara
  • 110 gr. goat cheese, room temperature
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp. l fat cream
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • Special equipment: 1 metal mold with non-stick coating on 12 mini muffins

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a large pan with a thick bottom over medium heat, heat olive and butter. When the butter has melted, add the onion, sugar and salt to taste. Fry until the onion begins to brown. Reduce heat to low and fry, stirring frequently, until onion caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Remove the onions from the stove and set it to cool.
  2. Preheat the oven to 190 ° C.
  3. In a bowl, combine goat cheese, egg, cream, and thyme. Shift mix in a small sealed plastic bag for storage products. Cut the corner of the bag to deposit cheese.
  4. Put the cake dough on a clean surface and with round cut for cookies with a diameter of 6 cm. Cut 12 circles. Insert the dough into the cells for mini-muffins. Fill each tartlet halfway with cooled onions. Drop on top of the bag cheese mixture by filling the bowls to the brim.
  5. Bake tartlets until the filling hardens, about 15-20 minutes. Cool a little, and then put the tartlets out of the mold and serve.
