Portioned lime pie

Lime pie is an American dessert made from juice. lime, egg yolk and condensed milk in a basket of dough. He is official Florida state cake. In this recipe, the basket is crumbled grema crackers, lime cream is laid on them, and on top of it is whipped cream. Ingredients for the recipe:

Lime Kurd (cream)

  • 1 tbsp. lime juice
  • 2 tbsp. Sahara
  • 220 gr butter
  • 14 eggs

Korzh

  • 1/3 Art. Sahara
  • 12 whole graham crackers
  • 1/3 Art. melted butter

Topping

  • 1.5 tbsp. whipping cream
  • 1/2 tbsp. powdered sugar
  • Lime zest, for decoration

Recipe preparation:

  1. Lime cream: Mix lime juice, sugar and cream oil in a medium-sized sauceboat and heat over low heat until the oil will not melt. Beat the eggs, add them to the gravy boat and well mix everything. Bring to a gentle boil. Stir constantly and cook until the mixture thickens and gains creamy consistency, 5-7 minutes. Strain through a sieve. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  2. Korzh: Put sugar and Graham crackers in a food processor. Pour in melted butter and turn on so that everything mixed up.
  3. Topping: Whip cream with sugar until formed steady peaks.
  4. Assemble the cake as follows: at the bottom of the portioned put the crumbs on a bowl, then lime cream. From above put whipped cream and garnish with lime zest.
