Pear Compote

Compote – a dessert of fruit slices boiled in syrup with spices that have been prepared in Europe since the Middle Ages. Recipe:

Mix 0.5 tbsp. dry white wine, half cut along vanilla pod, 1 star star anise and a pinch of salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Boil until the wine has evaporated halfway, 4 minutes.
