Mint cooler “Christmas cane”

Cocktail

  • 1 tbsp. l crushed caramel canes or mint candy canes
  • 45 ml peppermint vodka, see recipe below

  • Mint sprig for serving

Peppermint Vodka

  • 2 tbsp. fresh mint leaves without stems
  • 1 bottle of quality vodka

Recipe preparation:

  1. Put crushed candies in a 0.5 liter glass. Lightly them crush breaking up large chunks. Do not crush into powder. Add vodka, brandy and cream and mix. Pour into a shaker with ice. Shake lightly to cool and strain into a glass for whiskey filled with ice. Add a mint cane and mix. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

    Peppermint Vodka:

    Rinse the mint leaves thoroughly and place them in a decanter or in a jar. Pour the vodka in there and slightly mint the mint to release essential oils. Put in a cool dark place at least 3 days. Insist longer if you want more strong taste.
