Mexican chocolate brownie

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 3 anchovy chili peppers (blanched) without seeds
  • 1 and 3/4 Art. premium flour
  • 3 tbsp. l cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp. l ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2.5 tbsp. cane sugar
  • 250 gr diced butter
  • 200 gr. crushed chocolate
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200 gr. bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C. Foil a baking sheet size 22 by 33 cm, leaving a small ledge above the edges and grease with oil. Sauté chili peppers over medium heat, often stirring until softened and aromatic, about 5 minutes. Allow to cool completely. Transfer to a food processor and chop, then put 1/4 tbsp from the combine chili and set aside. Add flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon, baking powder and salt to food processor and run it until the ingredients are well are mixed up.
  2. Heat for about 4 minutes. cane sugar, butter and 1 tbsp. water in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until butter and sugar will not melt. Remove from heat and mix with bitter with chocolate, let cool for 10 minutes. Mix with eggs and vanilla. Add the mixture with flour and mix until smooth, then pour the dough into prepared form. Bake for about 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center will not become clean. Sprinkle bittersweet chocolate and leave for about 5 minutes. Evenly spread the chocolate over the surface with a spatula and sprinkle deferred chili and cayenne pepper. Cool completely and cut into cakes.
