Difficulty: easy Servings: 4 In the recipes volumetric containers are used in volume: 1 cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cups (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (Art.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 900 gr. unpeeled potatoes with yellow peel
- 220 gr spicy cheddar cheese
- 220 gr bacon
- 1 tbsp. hot milk
- 60 gr – 120 gr. butter
- 1/4 Art. chopped greens (parsley, chives)

Recipe preparation:
- Put potatoes in a pot of cold water, add salt, and bring to a boil. Simmer the potatoes for 45 minutes. Drain and clean.
- In a pan, heat fat from bacon over medium heat. Bacon cut into slices and salt. Leave the melted fat in 2 – 4 tbsp. l Replace half the butter with melted fat from bacon, optionally use all the butter.
- In a bowl, crush the potatoes to a puree state. Stir in the cheddar and herbs, season with salt and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, heat milk and butter. Add to mashed potatoes and mix. Distribute mashed potatoes among servings and sprinkle with bacon.
