Make the popular American Tootsie Roll chocolates at home.
You will never forget this chewing sticky texture and chocolate, amazing orange tint. The composition of sweets on the surprise is simple: molten chocolate mixed with corn syrup. Confectioners have long been using this combination, which makes plastic candies. They do not melt for a long time and from this chocolate mass you can easily form roses or the name of the child – it all depends on your imagination. Chocolate iris can be glamorously presented, wrapped in gold or silver foil and filed on silver the dish.

- 350 gr crushed dark chocolate
- 1/2 tbsp. corn syrup
- 3/4 tsp warm water
- 1.5 tsp orange extract
- Special equipment: about 75 squares of color foil or cellophane, for packaging, optional

Recipe preparation:
- Cover the bottom and edges of the rectangular baking dish with foil size 33 by 43 cm.
- Melt the chocolate. Add the remaining ingredients, alright mix and pour into the prepared form. Cover and leave at night at room temperature; the mixture will be solid but still will remain ductile.
- Turn the candy mass onto the work surface and remove film. Cut into strips 2 cm wide, then roll by hand each lane per roll. Roll the rolls until they are will be about 1.5 cm in diameter. Cut each roll into 2.5 cm. Sections. Leave the sweets at room temperature until hardening before wrapping them in foil (the mixture is heated and softens when you work with it).
- Wrap each candy in colored foil or cellophane, twisting the ends. You can form a chocolate-iris mass leaves, roses, tows for initials or animals.
