Homemade shortcrust pastry pie base conditions

A very simple crunchy base designed for medium pie sizes, it will require only 2 ingredients, which you probably will. You can do several at once and freeze for future culinary experiments. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1.5 tbsp. premium flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 tbsp. ice water

Recipe preparation:

  1. Put the margarine with flour and salt in a medium bowl, and start chopping with a knife. Add 1 tsp. ice water until you get loose dough. Roll out the dough in such a way so that the base fits in a baking dish with a diameter of 23 cm. Place in refrigerator if necessary.
