Halloween candy bucket cake

Funny dessert from Food Network magazine looks like a bucket in which Halloween candy stacks up, but actually it’s a cake that is prepared easily and simply thanks to the finished mixture and оригинальным цветным украшениям.   • 2 boxes (500 gr. Each) mix for baking cake with spices
  • Cooking spray
  • 8 eggs of category CO
  • 2 tbsp. buttermilk or kefir
  • 2/3 Art. vegetable oil
  • 2 pack (450 gr.) vanilla glaze (fudge)
  • Gel food color orange to create the background
  • Starch, for dusting
  • 340 gr orange sugar mastic (available at specialized pastry shops or in online stores)
  • 1/2 tbsp. dark chocolate glaze
  • 2 long black licorice strips
  • Small sweets to fill the bucket

Recipe preparation:

  1. Sprinkle one round cake pan with cooking spray with a diameter of 20 cm. and two forms for cupcakes with grooves and a hole inside with a volume of 6 tbsp. (1.5 l.). Beat the cake mix with a mixer, eggs, buttermilk and vegetable oil, distribute the dough into forms. Bake until dry with a toothpick: a round cake for about 25 minutes, and cupcakes with holes – 30-35 min. Cool.

  3. Color the vanilla glaze with orange food coloring. Trim the flat sides of the cupcakes with the hole and the round cupcake so that so that they match each other. Flip one cupcake with hole upside down; grease with glaze. Put a round one on top a cupcake, another icing and another cupcake with a hole, then cover icing the whole cake and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  5. Dust a sheet of parchment paper with starch. On paper roll the mastic into a rectangle measuring 53×20 cm. and thick 0.3 cm. Cut into 12 strips 20 cm long and 4.5 cm wide., by cutting along the edges as shown in the photo.

  9. On paper, draw Jack O’Lantern’s eyes, nose, and mouth. (pumpkin flashlight) and cut them out. Pin the patterns to the cake toothpicks. With a fruit knife, circle all the details, then remove toothpicks and paper.

  11. With a knife, make cuts along the drawn lines, cutting through the mastic and, a little, cake. With the tip of a knife, remove the cut pieces.

  13. By incisions, make indentations in the cake 2.5 cm deep. AT tight plastic bag put chocolate icing, cut tip and squeeze the icing into the recesses on the cake.

  15. Weave two licorice strips together and insert into the top of the cake in the form of a handle bucket. Top of the cake fill with sweets.
