Figs in wine

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 250 gr dried figs, rinse, dry and cut tails
  • 1/2 tbsp. red wine
  • 1/4 Art. Sahara
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 2 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • Kaymak, blue cheese, sheep cheese and bread crumb, for filing

Recipe preparation:

  1. Cut the figs in half, place in a saucepan with red wine and sugar; salt it. Bring to a boil, then reduce and boil until the wine is half evaporated and the syrup slightly does not thicken, about 10 minutes
  2. Remove from the stove and add thyme sprigs. Serve with favorite cheese spread on bread.
