When the young corn season comes, the menu asks beloved by all Americans, the Virginia Corn Chowder. Delicious creamy soup with smoked meat and fresh garlic. If a you did not become the owner of fresh ears of corn, do with frozen, in the worst case, you can cook at home with canned corn.

  1. Heat a piece of oil in a saucepan and add chopped bacon. After the bacon has crusted, add chopped onions. Fry everything until light brown. Pour a couple of tablespoons of flour and chopped garlic. Mix and fry for a minute or two.
  2. Pour water in a thin stream. Stir constantly so as not to lumps formed.
  3. We cut the grains from the ears and put them in the pan along with chopped potatoes. After the soup boils, add dry seasonings and bay leaves.
  4. Boil a quarter of an hour over low heat, the potatoes should become soft.
  5. We remove the laurel leaf from the pan and pierce the soup in mashed potatoes.
  6. Pour cream and honey into the pan to taste, gently stir cream with honey until completely dissolved.
  7. Add chopped greens. The soup is ready. If you wish, you can sprinkle with cheese.
