Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 450 gr fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 2 tbsp. l rapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp. l grated ginger
  • 1 large shallot, diced
  • 3/4 Art. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp. honey
  • 1/4 Art. orange juice
  • 1/2 tbsp. regular sugar
  • A pinch of salt

Recipe preparation:

  1. Heat the rapeseed oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Fry ginger and shallots, stirring, until soft, for about 3 minutes. Mix brown sugar, honey, orange juice and regular sugar; salt it. Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves, and the mixture does not begin to bubble.
  2. Add half the cranberries and cook, stirring occasionally, until cranberries do not burst, and the sauce does not thicken, about 5 minutes. Add the remaining cranberries and boil a little, about 5 minutes more.
