Chocolate Coconut Sweets

If you are new to confectionery, or if you simply don’t have time to bake, chocolate and coconut sweets from Altona Brown will save your holiday. You will need only 6 ingredients and just a few minutes to cook delicious, sweet candies made from crispy macadamia nuts, coconut and thick condensed milk. The rest of the cooking time is not requires your efforts; you need to wait until the candies harden either quickly in the refrigerator, or slower at room temperature. The recipes use dimensional capacity: 1 cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cups (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teahouse spoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 tbsp. fried ground macadamia nuts
  • 1 tbsp. condensed milk
  • 1.5 tsp almond extract
  • 220 gr sweet coconut flakes
  • 350 gr melted semisweet chocolate
  • 1 tbsp. l vegetable fat (margarine)

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a bowl, combine nuts, condensed milk, almond extract and coconut flakes. Use your hands to mold the balls from the resulting mixture, 2.5 cm in diameter. Lay them on a paper-covered plate and leave to solidify at room temperature for 4 hours or in 1 hour refrigerator
  2. After the balls have frozen, mix the chocolate and the vegetable fat until smooth. Dip balls evenly into chocolate. Then put the candies on a baking sheet parchment or foil to dry.
