Cheese fondue with garlic and mushrooms

Swiss cheese fondue has long been a symbol of mental gatherings in the circle of close friends. This is a great way to please its guests a delicious snack. For fondue you will need two type of cheese, dry white wine, starch, so that the sauce gets the right consistency, and a special set with a burner over which there will be heat up a pot of cheese. Cheese sauce will become even tastier and more fragrant if you add mushrooms fried with garlic to it.   • 2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 1/4 Art. chopped white onions
  • 0.5 tbsp. chanterelles
  • 0.5 tbsp. chopped shiitake mushrooms
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp. l chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp ground chili de arbola or 1 fresh pod, sliced rings
  • 3/4 Art. dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp. grated cheese Monterey Jack
  • 2 tbsp. grated mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp. l corn starch
  • For serving: crostini or any dipping vegetables to your taste
  • Special equipment: fondue set

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a medium-sized frying pan over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add onion and fry until it becomes transparent, about 3 minutes. Add chanterelles, shiitake and garlic and fry over medium heat until mushrooms are cooked, about 5 minutes. Add thyme and chili and mix well. Salt and pepper. Put the mushrooms on a plate.
  2. Pour white wine into the same pan and bring to a boil. Mix Monterey Jack and mozzarella with corn starch to completely cover them with cheese. Slowly stir the cheese into the pan and keep mixing gently until smooth consistency.
  3. Pour the cheese mixture into the fondue pan and keep it in warmer. Put the laid mushrooms on top and serve with crackers or any dipping vegetables.
