Baked pasta with cheese

Casserole

  • 230 gr. pasta horn
  • 3 tbsp. l (45 gr.) Butter
  • 3 tbsp. l flour
  • 1 tbsp. l mustard powder
  • 3 tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 tbsp. finely chopped onions
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 large egg
  • 340 gr grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Sprinkling

  • 3 tbsp. l (45 gr.) Butter
  • 1 tbsp. breadcrumbs

Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  2. In a large pot with boiling, salted water, cook pasta is not up to the readiness of al dente.
  3. While the pasta is boiling, in a separate pan, melt the creamy butter. Add flour and mustard and stir for 5 minutes. Make sure there are no lumps in this mixture. Pour in the milk, add onions, bay leaves, paprika. Stew for 10 minutes, then remove Bay leaf.
  4. Beat the egg and add 3/4 of the whole cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Put the pasta in the mixture and pour into a 2-liter dish for baking. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  5. Melt the butter in a saucepan and mix with breadcrumbs. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of pasta a mixture. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove the casserole from the oven and let cool before serving for 5 minutes. You may be interested in another pasta recipe with cheese and bacon.
