Put a cup of brie cheese in a suitable size baking dish, cut off the top crust, sprinkle with a mixture cranberries, pecans, fried bacon and spices and bake in in the oven so that the cheese melts, and you can dunk bread in it or crackers. The appetizer surprises with a harmonious combination of sweet, salty and smoked flavors. For a change, you can experiment with different types of dried fruits and nuts. Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C. Put the bacon in a large pan and fry over moderate heat until it turns golden and crispy, 4-5 minutes on each side. Put the bacon on paper towels, let cool, then chop finely.
  2. In a small bowl, combine bacon, pecan, cranberries, apricots, rosemary, vinegar, a pinch of salt and a little ground black pepper.
  3. Remove the brie from the packaging. Cut off the top crust from the cheese, leaving a border 0.5 cm wide around the edges. (use a sharp knife and cut from above at a slight angle). Throw away the cut peel. Put the cheese in a small baking dish. Put it on top part of the prepared mixture, and sprinkle the rest around the cheese. Cover the pan with foil and bake until the cheese is warm and malleable, 30-35 minutes.
  4. Serve with bread, crackers, and apple slices and / or pears.
