Useful french toasts in foil on grill

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 3 tbsp. l (45 gr.) Melted butter
  • 350 gr skimmed condensed milk without sugar
  • 2 large eggs of category CO
  • 2 tbsp. l maple syrup + optionally for serving
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 8 slices of multi-cereal bread, lightly toasted
  • 1 tbsp. assorted berries
  • Special equipment: non-stick foil coating

Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the grill to moderate heat. Tear 8 sheets 35 cm foil and place them with the non-stick side up. Lubricate the middle of each leaf with melted butter.
  2. Whisk in a small bowl or in an airtight bag with ziplock condensed milk, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon.
  3. Dip each slice of bread on both sides into the milk mixture. Put 2 slices of bread on a sheet of oiled foil with each other, not lapped. Repeat the same with the remaining bread and 3 sheets of foil.
  4. Make foil bundles. Cover with the remaining greased sheets of foil each serving of soaked bread so that the foil lay on bread and all the edges of both sheets of each serving converged. Fold and press the edges firmly to make 4 oblong convolution.
  5. Put the parcels on the grill, close the grill lid and bake in within 5 minutes. Turn over the packages, close the lid and bake 5 more minutes. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes. Carefully unfold the foil (hot steam will go). Both sides French toast should be lightly browned, and the middle should stay creamy.     Note

    If you don’t have a whisk to beat eggs, you can just as well. use a fork.
