Sunny Ketchup at Home Anderson

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1400 gr. Roma tomatoes or cream, chopped quarters (10-12 pcs.)
  • 1 tbsp. Sahara
  • 1/4 Art. corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp. l apple cider vinegar plus more as needed
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper peas
  • 4 cloves of crushed garlic
  • 1 medium sized red onion, chopped quarters
  • One 10 cm Cinnamon Stick
  • One slice (2.5 cm) of freshly peeled and grated ginger
  • 1 star anise star

Recipe preparation:

  1. Put tomatoes, sugar, corn syrup, vinegar, fragrant peppers, peas, garlic, onions, cinnamon sticks, ginger, star anise star and a pinch of salt in a pan, put on medium the fire. Bring to a boil, and then reduce the heat to low boiling. Mash potato masher or a wooden spoon mixture. Cover and cook on low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. When mixing hot liquid, first let it cool in for about 5 min. and then move to a blender, filling half the blender bowl. Cover with a slightly open one edge. Cover the lid with a towel to prevent spatter and blender until smooth masses.
