Spicy Guacamole with Mango

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 tbsp. l vegetable oil
  • 1 – 2 Serrano Chili Peppers or Jalapeno Peppers
  • 1 mango, peel, remove the stone, chop the pulp cubes
  • 1 tbsp. l chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • 3 tbsp. l chopped red onion
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 3 avocados, cut in half, remove seeds and take out flesh
  • 1/2 tbsp. diced hikama
  • Nachos corn chips, for serving

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a small frying pan, heat the vegetable oil to moderately high temperature. Add chili peppers and fry with all sides for 5 minutes, until bubbles appear on the surface peppers. Cool, then cut the stems, remove the seeds and finely chop the flesh.
  2. Mix chopped chili peppers in a bowl with mango, cilantro, juice lime and red onion. Salt and pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, mash avocado pulp. Stir pepper mixture and hikama. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve sauce guacamole with corn chips.
