What drink to drink to quench your thirst, and the body to please? Of course, kvass! Why fast kvass? The recipe is like that! When there is no time to tinker with malt, other “wisdom of the old drink, “the urban method” comes to the rescue. That’s the name of the recipe enterprising housewives.

Quick kvass. The recipe is “urban”

To cook a quick kvass, we need:

  • Rye crackers (with crusts) – 1 cup.
  • Beer – 0.5 cups.
  • Kefir – 0.5 cups.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Beets – 1 pc.
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon
  • Raspberry leaves (can be dry) – 1 tablespoon
  • Boiled water – 3l.

The drink is delicious, it refreshes no worse than a real breeze! Ideal for okroshka, cold soups (beetroot soup), marinades to meat, fish.

You can make quick kvass like this:

Feel free to cut the “cover” of rye bread, divide into small cubes and send to the oven.

Kefir mix with beer, add half a portion of crackers and leave for 5 hours for fermentation.

Grate beets with carrots, mix with honey, leaves raspberries, salt. Combine the mass with kefir-beer mixture, add water. It is important that the water temperature is at least 30 °. it guarantees a natural fermentation process.

Future kvass should roam well. Usually enough 2-3 of the day. I recommend that I leave it as a starter.

Tasty ideas

Having such leaven in the refrigerator, you can fantasize with ingredients: make “quick” kvass in plain water, without vegetables, but with herbs, or with raisins. Of course you have to add sugar, to support the fermentation process. No time to bake bread? Bring almost to the “blackness” one batch of crackers, and boldly dilute with burnt bread ordinary crackers. It will turn out saturated dark color!
