Complexity: easy Quantity: 1 daiquiri Recipes use measured containers volume: 1 cup (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cups (st.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (Art.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

Cocktail

  • 110 gr. very ripe peeled golden mango
  • 5 washed strawberries (remove the stalks)
  • 15 ml fresh lime juice
  • 7 ml Syrup from Demerara Sugar (see recipe below)
  • 60 ml. light rum
  • Crushed ice

Syrup from Demerara Sugar

  • 1/2 tbsp. sugar demerara

Recipe preparation:

  1. Mash the mango and strawberries thoroughly with lime juice and sugar syrup at the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add rum and mix. Fill with crushed ice and shake vigorously.
  2. Strain into cocktail glasses with a rim of sugar demerara, making a foamy layer of fine crystallized ice for decorations. Demerara Sugar Syrup: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil, add sugar and mix to dissolve. Remove from heat, cover and refrigerate.
