Recipes use measuring containers. volume: 1 cup (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cups (st.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (Art.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

For syrup:

  • 1 tbsp. Sahara
  • 1 tbsp. water

For one serving of cocktail:

  • 25 ml bourbon
  • 25 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 15 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 25 ml syrup
  • Champagne or any dry sparkling wine, cool
  • Thin stripe lemon zest, for decoration

Recipe preparation:

  1. To make syrup: mix sugar and water in a saucepan. Put the pan on the stove and cook at medium temperature, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove the pan from the stove and cool the syrup completely.
  2. To make a cocktail: toss 6 ice cubes into a shaker, add bourbon, syrup, lemon and orange juice. Shake cocktail for 10 sec., then strain into a glass. Top up champagne. Garnish the cocktail with lemon zest.
