Marinara is a traditional Italian sauce made from tomatoes, garlic, spices and onions. It can be easily found in store, but homemade sauce is much more aromatic and tastier. All ingredients are available, and prepare homemade marinara sauce possible in 20 minutes

Time: 25 min In recipes volumetric containers are used in volume: 1 cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cups (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (Art.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1 can (800 gr.) Canned mashed tomatoes in own juice
- 1 tbsp. l olive oil
- 1/4 Art. grated onion
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- A pinch of red hot pepper flakes
- 8 chopped fresh basil leaves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper

Recipe preparation:
- Place a large frying pan over medium heat, heat in it oil, fry onions, garlic and hot red pepper, stirring, 3-4 мин. Add tomatoes, basil, bay leaf, season with salt and pepper. Bring to a slow boil, then reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes., stirring occasionally. Take out the bay leaf. Exit: 4 Art.
