Hot chocolate without extra calories

Delicious rich hot chocolate, which already has its aroma uplifting. Dates, milk and some vanilla extract make it sweet enough and without refined sugar. Besides of the fact that dates are a worthy fruit sweetener, they are also emphasize the taste of your chocolate drink, as well as fill it with vitamins, useful microelements and food fibers. All ingredients are boiled at a slow boil, and then cocoa is ground in a blender. Be careful when working with hot liquid and do not completely cover the blender cover.   • 0.5 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 6 large pitted dates sliced
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sugar-free whipped cream and ground cinnamon, to serve (per wish)

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, mix milk, cocoa powder, dates, vanilla and a pinch of salt. Heat over medium heat, often stirring until the steam goes. Continue cooking without mixing boil heavily to soften the dates, another 5 minutes.
  2. Cool the hot chocolate for 5 minutes, then pour into blender and grind until smooth. You can strain the mixture to remove small pieces of dates.
  3. Pour into circles, cover with whipped cream and sprinkle cinnamon if you use it.
