Grape biscuits

Difficulty: medium Quantity: 5pcs The recipes use volumetric containers with a volume of: 1 glass (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (Art.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml

Ingredients for the recipe:

For the test:

  • 3 tbsp. sifted flour of 1 grade, and a little for sprinkling
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp. l diced margarine
  • 240 gr. diced unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tbsp. grape jam
  • 1 large egg, beat
  • 1/3 Art. milk

For glaze:

  • 1 tbsp. l granulated sugar
  • Juice 2 oranges
  • 2 tbsp. l orange liquor (optional)
  • 3/4 Art. powdered sugar
  • Grated orange peel for sprinkling

Recipe preparation:

  1. To make cookies: Mix flour, granulated sugar and salt in a food processor. Add One Quarter Margarine butter and mix until the butter dissolves in the flour, about 30 seconds. Add remaining oil and mix. repeatedly. Add half a glass of cold water and mix. several times, until a homogeneous consistency. Shape the dough into a ball and tightly wrap in a bag, cool for at least 1 hour. (For more quick cooking use previously chilled dough aged not less than 1 day.)
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough in the form Rectangle 25 by 35 cm., 3 mm thick. Using mold or a round pizza knife make ten rectangles the size 10 by 7 cm. Put the dough on a baking sheet laid with parchment. Cool for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Spread 5 rectangles with grape jam (1 tbsp each. each), leaving 1 cm on each edge, smear the edges with an egg and cover with the remaining 5 rectangles, press the edges with a fork or side of the form. Cool for 30 minutes. Meanwhile warm up oven to 200 C.
  4. Bake cookies for 20 – 25 minutes, pour in the middle of cooking milk. Remove from the oven, cool.
  5. For the preparation of glaze: Cook in a large shallow frying pan over medium heat orange juice and liquor (optional) with by adding sugar until it is half full, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the stove and beat with icing sugar until homogeneous state, cool.
  6. Spread homemade cookies with grapes and glaze zest of orange. Allow to harden, 5 minutes.
