Ingredients for the recipe:
- Three cans (430 gr. Each) canned mashed tomato
- 3 to 4 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 tbsp. white wine (or chicken stock)
- Salt and ground pepper
- Pinch of sugar
- Olive oil
- Fresh parsley leaves
- Fresh basil leaves

Recipe preparation:
- Pour a tablespoon of olive oil into a hot pan, heated to moderately high temperature, add garlic and chopped onion and fry a little.
- Now add the wine (or chicken stock), cook, stirring, until the fluid is reduced by half.
- Add chopped tomatoes and mix. Add salt and pepper to taste, and a pinch of sugar. Reduce the heat to a minimum and simmer marinara sauce for 30 minutes. Towards the end of cooking, chop fresh parsley and basil and add it to the sauce to taste, mix.
