Cherry mojito with ice crumbs

Complexity: easy Servings: 4 – 6 Recipes use volumetric containers with the volume: 1 cup (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (Art.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 450 gr pitted frozen cherries
  • 2 tbsp. ice crumbs, plus some more to serve
  • 1/2 tbsp. fresh mint leaves (tamp)
  • 1/3 Art. freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 3 limes)
  • 1 tbsp. citrus rum
  • 1 and 2/3 Art. lime syrup, see recipe below
  • Lime slices and fresh cherry, for decoration
  • 2 tbsp. Sahara
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • 3 lime zest

Recipe preparation:

  1. Put frozen cherries, ice crumbs, leaves in a blender mint, lime juice, rum and syrup. Beat until smooth. Pour out mix in chilled glasses and put ice crumbs on top. Garnish with lime slices and cherries.
  2. Lime Syrup: In a small saucepan over medium heat mix sugar, water and lime zest. Bring to a boil, reduce fire and simmer for 5 minutes, periodically stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool for 20 minutes. Before use strain.
