Brownie “Christmas deer”

Bake chocolate brownie in round cakes, cut into eight triangular pieces and using a small set sweets turn them into funny Christmas deer. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 220 gr butter, melted and cooled + optional for greasing molds
  • 1.5 tbsp. Sahara
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 0.5 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. dark chocolate in standard size granules (approximately 340 gr.)
  • 16 small chocolate-flavored chewing sweets, e.g. Tootsie rolls
  • 16 red or brown sugar-coated chocolate dragees, например, M&M’s
  • 16 pcs. vanilla waffle mini cookies
  • 16 pcs. mini marshmallow
  • 32 dark chocolate mini-granules (approximately 1 tsp)

Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Butter the bottom and the walls of two round molds for cake layers with a diameter of 20 cm. Cut from parchment paper two circles with a diameter of 20 cm. and cover them with the bottom forms.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs. In another bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder. Add dry ingredients to moist and mix until fully mixed. Stir in 1 tbsp. standard size chocolate granules and pour the dough into prepared forms, smoothing its surface. Bake until no crust begins to form at the edges, the edges should extend from the walls of the mold, and a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake should come out clean, 35-40 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, cut in half half the chewy sweets. Using your fingers, give each half a drop-shaped shape so that turned out to be deer ears. Melt 2 tbsp. l remaining chocolate regular sized pellets in a heat resistant bowl in a microwave in for 20 seconds.
  4. Using a drop of melted chocolate, glue the red dragees to every vanilla waffle liver to make noses.
  5. Cut each mini marshmallow in half across. Insert by one chocolate mini-granule with a pointed end in a flat, the cut side of each marshmallow piece to make eyes.
  6. As soon as you get the finished brownies out of the oven, immediately sprinkle on top evenly with half the remaining chocolate granules regular size (7 tbsp. for each brownie) and let stand, until the granules melt, about 5 minutes. Evenly distribute chocolate spatula on tops of cakes.
  7. Cool the brownies in the molds on the wire rack completely for about 1 hour. Cut each circle into 8 equal triangles. WITH using a pastry spatula or spatula for cake triangles out of shape.
  8. Assembly: Lay brownie triangles so that they are facing you with the longest sharp corner, and gently press cookies to this point of the triangle to make a nose.
