- 450 gr ground beef from the shoulder portion
- 1/4 Art. olive oil
- 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, peel and chop coarsely
- 1 stalk of celery, coarsely chopped
- 1 carrot, coarsely chopped
- 1 can (800 gr.) Mashed tomatoes
- 1/4 Art. chopped parsley
- 8 basil leaves, cut
- 1/4 Art. grated cheese Pecorino Romano

Recipe preparation:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet. When is it almost start to fade, add onion, garlic and passer on medium heat for about 8 minutes, until the onion is very soft. Pour in celery and carrots and passer 5 minutes.
- Increase the heat to high and add ground beef. Fry occasionally stirring and breaking large lumps, cook until the meat is no longer pink, about 10 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, parsley and basil and cook on medium-low fire until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
