Watermelon Sorbet

To prepare this sorbet, the pulp of seedless watermelon whipped in a blender and mixed with sugar syrup, corn syrup, lemon juice, fresh mint and grenadine. Such the mixture perfectly accentuates the watermelon taste, makes it more saturated and fill with refreshing mint and citrus notes. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 tbsp. Sahara
  • 0.5 tbsp. corn syrup
  • 4 tbsp. l lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp. l grenadine
  • 3 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 seedless watermelon weighing 1.2 kg.

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a small saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, lemon juice, grenadine and mint leaves and bring to a boil, dissolving all the sugar. Allow to cool slightly. Cut the peel from the watermelon and cut it into pieces. Whisk half the chopped watermelon in blender. Strain through a fine sieve into a large glass bowl. Repeat with the remaining watermelon. Add lightly cool syrup and beat well. Transfer the sorbet to a 2-liter plastic container and freeze for 3-4 hours.
