Recipe preparation:
- Pour in enough water and leave for 2 hours. Drain the water. Grind garlic, ginger and pepper in a food processor Chile. Add strained dal and grind again by adding 1/4 tbsp. water to make a fairly homogeneous paste. Try not to add too much water, otherwise donuts will not hold form.
- Transfer the mixture to a large bowl. Add onion, dill, leaves curry, salt and pepper. Mix well. In a wok or deep fryer on moderately high heat heat oil. Fingers roll out the dough walnut-sized balls and gently dip them in hot butter, pouring a little on top of the donuts so that they catch. When the bottom is slightly browned, gently flip the donuts and fry on the other side. Cook a few minutes until they become completely light golden color. Put on paper towel to absorb excess fat and serve hot.
