Difficulty: easy Servings: 4 In the recipes volumetric containers are used in volume: 1 cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cups (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (Art.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 tbsp. white rice
  • 2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 1 red onion, chop (leave a quarter for filing)
  • 2 tbsp. l chopped jalapeno peppers, plus 2 tsp. pickle (and pepper for decoration)
  • 3 cloves of garlic, pass through a press
  • 450 gr minced turkey
  • 1 tbsp. l chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 4 things. sliced plum tomatoes
  • 1 (425 gr.) Can of khomini canned corn, drained liquid and rinse
  • 0.5 tbsp. coarsely chopped fresh cilantro (set aside half to filing, plus a little more for decoration)

Recipe preparation:

  1. Boil in a small saucepan 1.5 tbsp. salted water add rice and reduce heat. Cover and cook until rice completely not swell and soft, about 15 minutes; set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large frying pan, and add all ingredients and brine, fry over high heat, often stirring until the onions are soft, about 5 minutes; salt it. Add turkey, chili powder and cumin. Fry, sharing the meat until it is browned for about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and salt. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes will not begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add corn and and 1.5 tbsp. water. Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium heat until thick, about 10 minutes. Intervene season the remaining half of fresh cilantro with salt and pepper. Rice loosen with a fork. Serve the rice, distributing among the portions, on top put the chili meat sauce on one side; mix the sauce lightly with rice on the surface. Sprinkle with the remaining onions, cilantro. And report to the other side of the rings of pickled pepper jalapenos.
