Turkey and Noodle Casserole

  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 3 sliced pork or turkey bacon, chopped
  • 600 g minced turkey
  • 450 g sliced porcini mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Black pepper
  • 2 tsp dried thyme or seasoning for poultry
  • 1/2 tbsp. dry white wine
  • 1 tbsp. chicken broth
  • 1/2 tbsp. fat cream
  • 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp. l softened butter
  • 2 tbsp. grated Gruyere cheese (piece about 230 g.)
  • 1 tbsp. breadcrumbs
  • 2-3 tbsp. l finely chopped parsley

Recipe preparation:

  1. Pour a large pot of water, salt and cook al noodles dente “- to a semi-solid state.
  2. Heat a deep frying pan over medium heat. Add olive oil, bacon. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, until the bacon will not brown on the edges. Add the minced meat and sauté, kneading his wooden spoon. Move the meat to 1 side of the pan and add mushrooms and onions in the opposite direction. Cook mushrooms with onions for 3-5 min., then combine the meat with vegetables and copiously salt and pepper the mixture, then sprinkle with thyme or seasoning for the bird. Cook for another 5 minutes, then add the wine. Shuffle then add the broth and bring the mixture to a boil, pour in the cream and turn down the heat to a minimum. Add nutmeg to the sauce and mix. Add seasoning to taste.
  3. Heat the oven with grill function to high temperature. Mix the noodles with turkey meat, vegetables and sauce. Lubricate the mold for baking with a small amount of softened butter, then transfer the mixture to the mold. Sprinkle casserole with cheese on top Gruyere, then breadcrumbs. Casserole browned for 2-3 min., the cheese should melt, and the crackers turn brown. Take out casserole from the oven, sprinkle with parsley.
