You can bake pork knuckle not only raw, but also smoked. Smoked shank will turn out to be especially tasty and aromatic if it is cook at home with potatoes in honey mustard sauce.

Put the smoked shank in a pan, add onion, garlic, bay leaf, salt, pepper, fill with water and boil for 60 minutes. We leave the broth and use it for making pea soup.

Peel the potatoes, cut into medium cubes and mix with oil and salt. In a bowl, mix honey, mayonnaise, mustard, thyme, paprika, pepper and a little salt.

Put the prepared potatoes into a mold, grease the shank honey mustard sauce and place on potatoes. Add on top the rest of the sauce. We send the smoked shank with potatoes to the preheated oven at 210 degrees for 20-25 minutes until the shank is covered crisp and potatoes will not become soft.

We take out the fragrant smoked shank with potatoes and immediately serve with favorite sauce, pickles and mustard.
