Pork with sauerkraut and potatoes

We will cook an incredibly aromatic and tasty dish at home in the oven from pork, sauerkraut, potatoes and carrots. The meat is long languishes under a “coat” of vegetables and it turns out incredibly fragrant and gentle.

  1. Cut the pork neck into thin medium slices, salt, pepper, roll in flour and fry over high heat until covered brown crust.

  2. Peeled potatoes with carrots cut into circles, onions – finely. We put the oven at 200 degrees.

  3. In a bowl, mix sauerkraut with onions, spread 1/3 part in a heat-resistant glass or clay mold and add fried pieces of the neck.

  4. Mix meat broth with ketchup (can be replaced with 1 tbsp. tomato paste). On top of the meat we place the remains of sauerkraut and pour the prepared liquid.

  5. We spread potatoes, carrots on cabbage, sprinkle with salt, ground pepper, cover and put in the oven for 2 hours. In 15 minutes remove the lid and bake so that the potatoes with carrots become golden color.

  6. Fragrant juicy pork served with baked sauerkraut, potatoes and crispy baguette.
