Pasta with sauce

  • 450 gr penne rigate, cooked to al dente
  • 450 gr sweet italian sausage
  • 2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 4 crushed and finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 – 6 branches of sage, tear and chop leaves (about 2 tbsp. l.)
  • 1 tbsp. dry white wine
  • 1 tbsp. chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp. pumpkin puree
  • 0.5 tbsp. fat cream
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Grated parmesan
  • Whole Grain Bread

Spinach salad with apple and red onion as a additions

  • 450 gr three times washed spinach without stalks
  • 1 coarsely chopped sweet pepper
  • 1 small peeled apple, cut into 4 parts, and chopped
  • 0.25 thinly chopped small red onions
  • 0.25 Art. olive oil
  • 1.5 tbsp. l cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp. l honey

Recipe preparation:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp. l olive oil and saute the sausage on it. Shift sausage on a plate lined with paper towels. Drain the fat from pans and return it to the stove. Add the remaining olive oil, then garlic and onions. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until onion will become soft.
  2. Add bay leaf, sage and wine to the pan. Give the wine boil in half, about 2 minutes. Add broth and pumpkin puree, mix. Cook, stirring until sauce begins bubble. Put the sausage back in the pan, turn off the fire and add cream. Sprinkle the sauce with cinnamon and nutmeg, add salt and pepper to taste. Boil the sauce slowly for 5-10 minutes, to let it thicken.
  3. Return the dried pasta to the pan in which it was cooked. Remove the bay leaf from the sauce and pour the sauce over the sauce. Shuffle sauce and pasta and simmer for 1 minute. Sprinkle pasta with a lot of grated cheese and sage leaves.
  4. Serve pasta with bread and spinach salad with apple and red onions.
