I decided to pamper my relatives for lunch and cook a real one. cabbage. By the way, this is a traditional dish of various peoples: from Ukraine to Slovakia, is prepared everywhere on different, but I liked this recipe cabbage.

To prepare cabbage we need:

  • fresh cabbage 0.3 kg
  • sauerkraut 0.3 kg
  • medium potatoes 4 pcs
  • medium carrot 1 pc
  • onion medium 1 pc
  • millet 3 tablespoon
  • fat 100 gr
  • meat broth 1 liter
  • salt, pepper and seasoning to taste

You can cook cabbage like this:

Shred fresh cabbage with thin strips. Sauerkraut rinse in cold water and also a little finer. Potatoes clean and cut into batnet-small in small cubes. Rub carrots on a coarse grater, and chop the onion half rings. All vegetables are prepared.

In a stewpan or in a pan with a thick bottom, melt lard and fry the onion and carrot for 5 minutes, add the washed sauerkraut cabbage and pour in half the prepared meat broth. Cover and simmer-simmer over medium heat 20-25 minutes.

Bring the remaining broth to a boil and lower fresh cabbage, washed several times millet and chopped potatoes. Cook 10 minutes over medium heat.

Next, add vegetables from the stewpan to the broth with fresh cabbage, salt, pepper, add your favorite seasonings and keep on fire yet 10 minutes.

Cooking cabbage turned out to be very easy. Sprinkle with herbs add sour cream and invite everyone to the table!
