Ingredients for the recipe:
- 3.5 tbsp. potatoes (3 medium potatoes), peeled and diced
- 500 ml milk
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/3 Art. chopped celery
- 3/4 Art. diced ham
- 1 pork bone from ham (optional)
- 800 ml unsalted chicken stock
- 1 tsp ground pepper, or to taste
- 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
- 1/3 Art. butter
- 1/3 Art. flour
- 1-2 tsp chili paste or any hot sauce (optional)
For topping:
- Crumbled Fried Bacon (optional)
- Grated Cheddar Cheese (optional)

Recipe preparation:
- In a saucepan, mix chicken stock, potatoes, onions, celery, ham and pork bone (optional). Bring mixture to moderately high heat to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer on low heat. boil for 10-15 minutes, until the vegetables are soft.
- While the soup is cooking, in a medium saucepan, melt the creamy oil at a moderate temperature. Add flour and, stirring, cook for 1 min. before thickening. Pour milk, constantly whipping with a whisk so that flour lumps do not form. Cook, stirring for 7 to 8 minutes. until the mixture thickens.
- Remove the pork bone from the soup, if used. Then mix the milk mixture with the soup. Warm up a little extra. Add chili paste, salt and pepper to taste. Pour the soup into warmed plates and sprinkle with bacon and cheese.
