Ingredients for the recipe:

Gumbo

  • 4 tbsp. fresh pork sausages for frying with kajun seasonings
  • 4 tbsp. chopped okra (okra), fresh or frozen
  • 2 tbsp. canned oysters
  • 250 gr crab meat
  • 700 gr. fresh peeled shrimp
  • 3 tbsp. scallops
  • 4 tbsp. chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp. l dry chicken stock cube
  • 3 tbsp. water

Vegetables and seasonings

  • 1/4 Art. oils
  • 6 tbsp. l premium wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp. chopped onions
  • 1 tbsp. chopped green bell peppers
  • 1 tbsp. diced celery
  • 3 large cloves of minced garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/3 Art. dried parsley
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp homemade seasoning recipe see below
  • 2 tbsp. l soy sauce or worcester sauce
  • 2 tbsp. fresh diced tomatoes
  • Powder filé (spicy powder from dried ground leaves sassafras wood with a fresh faint lemon aroma)

Homemade seasoning

  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 Art. black pepper
  • 1/4 Art. garlic powder

Recipes with similar ingredients: shrimp, crab meat, sea scallops, bell peppers, celery, okra, okra, sauce Worcestershire, bay leaf, thyme, basil, cayenne pepper ground, garlic powder, parsley

Recipe preparation:

  1. Gumbo:

    In a large saucepan, combine the butter and flour. Sauté over medium heat stirring constantly until ru (heat-treated a mixture of flour and fat) will not get a light chocolate color.   2. Cut the sausage into slices about 1.5 cm thick. Add to pan with okra. Close the pan and simmer on a slow fire for 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally. Add oysters, crab meat, shrimp and scallops. Cook 15 more minutes.
  3. Serve hot rice gumbo. Sprinkle powder filé and stir.

    Homemade seasoning:
