Ingredients for the recipe:
- 450 – 700 gr. chopped white and dark meat cooked turkey or grilled chicken
- 1 pack (400 gr.) Chopped frozen okra (okra), each wish
- 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp. l (45 gr.) Butter
- 2 tbsp. l thyme leaves, finely chopped
- 3-4 stalks of celery, chopped
- 3 – 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 large bay leaf
- 1 large head or 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 3 tbsp. l wheat flour
- 2 glasses of bourbon
- 2 tbsp. chicken broth
- 3 – 4 tbsp. l hot sauce
- 3 – 4 tbsp. l Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp. l brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. l cider vinegar
- 400 gr. tomato sauce
- Boiled white or brown rice or crackers for serving
- Thinly chopped green onions for serving

Recipe preparation:
- Heat the oil in a large cauldron or pan with a thick bottom on moderately high heat, add butter and melt it. Add thyme, celery, garlic, bay leaf, onion, sweet pepper and some salt and pepper. Cook under partially closed cover until tender, 15 min.
